Raffaella Viccei is gradueted in Classic Studies; she got the postgraduate diploma in Classic Archaeology and obtained the Ph.D in Archaeology (Catholic University, Milan). She won fellowships and research associate in Greek Literature (University of Sassari). She is member of research groups, most recently: Visioni del tragico. La tragedia greca sulla scena italiana dal 2001 ad oggi; La vergogna e le sue maschere. Rappresentazione di un’emozione sociale nella letteratura e nelle arti (scientific direction: Sotera Fornaro, University of Sassari); she is member of the scientific committee of the journals Visioni del tragico. La tragedia greca sulla scena del XXI secolo; Archivi delle emozioni. Ricerche sulle componenti emotive nella letteratura, nell’arte, nella cultura materiale. Since 2003 she has been teaching (lecturer) above all at: Catholic University of Milan, IULM of Milan, University of Sassari. Her publications range from the architecture of Greek and Roman theatres toCultural Heritage, from theatrical, musical, choreutic iconography and iconology to the reception of the ancient art and literature. She is involved in contemporary theatre and its spaces.
